Five (5) Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) apprentices formally commenced their Supervised Field Work (SFW) through a Turnover Program held on July 6, 2026, at the DILG Davao Oriental Provincial Office.

The five apprentices from the 60th Batch Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs II and III will undergo a 2.5-month field immersion in the province, where they will be assigned to various municipalities. During their deployment, they will gain firsthand experience in local governance operations, deepen their understanding of the Department’s programs and services, and apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the institutional training phase.

The Supervised Field Work is the second component of the 60th Batch Apprenticeship Program, providing apprentices with practical learning opportunities under the guidance of experienced DILG mentors and supervisors. Through this hands-on experience, the apprentices are expected to strengthen their competencies, develop professionalism, and prepare for their future roles as effective Local Government Operations Officers committed to advancing good local governance.
