MSAC XI and RCGLG XI Convene 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting, Strengthen Partnerships for Good Local Governance

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XI convened the 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting of the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee (MSAC) XI and the Regional Council for Good Local Governance (RCGLG) XI on July 2, 2026, at Acacia Hotel, Davao City. The meeting gathered council members and partner institutions to discuss ongoing initiatives and strengthen collaboration in advancing local governance and capacity development in the Davao Region.

A highlight of the meeting was the signing of two Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs). The first formally welcomed the National Master Plumbers’ Association of the Philippines (NAMPAP) – Davao Chapter as a regular member of MSAC XI, while the second established a partnership with Atty. Arvin Antonio Ortiz for the implementation of the Barangay Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): Masterclass, a capacity development initiative aimed at enhancing the mediation and dispute resolution competencies of barangay officials.

The Council also received updates on the DILG XI Capacity Development Analytics System (CapDevAS), the implementation of the Local Government Code Review and Amendment Program (LGC RevAmp), among others. Members were likewise briefed on AMUMA 2.0, and the inclusion of new member agencies to the RCGLG.

The successful conduct of the joint meeting reaffirmed the commitment of MSAC XI and RCGLG XI to fostering stronger partnerships and implementing innovative, evidence-based initiatives that contribute to responsive and people-centered local governance in the Davao Region.
