The Transformative Leadership for Elevated Governance: Refresher Course for Reelected Officials (Cluster 1: Davao City and Davao Occidental) concluded today at The Ritz Hotel, Davao City, wrapping up two days of intensive learning, collaboration, and strategic planning among newly-elected local officials from Davao City, Malita, Sarangani, Jose Abad Santos, Sta. Maria, and the Province of Davao Occidental.

The Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) XI successfully convened the 2nd Quarter Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Council (MSAC) Meeting on May 23, 2025 at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Bo. Obrero, Davao City. The activity gathered partner institutions and stakeholders who share the commitment of strengthening local governance and promoting inclusive development in the Davao Region.

The DILG XI – Local Government Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) XI successfully conducted its Multi-Stakeholder’s Advisory Council (MSAC) FY 2025 1st Quarter Meeting on March 19, 2025, at the LGRRC Conference Room, DILG XI Regional Office, Matina, Davao City.

The said summit aimed to strategically enhance the barangay functionaries and DILG field officers’ capacity to effectively plan and implement localized development projects which is deeply anchored on the Philippine Development Plan 2023 – 2028 and the Davao Regional Development Plan 2023 – 2028.

DILG XI, through Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) XI Manager & Assistant Regional Director Charissa T. Guerta, CESO V, and Local Government Capacity Development Division (LGCDD) Chief Ma. Aurora C. Corpuz had an exploratory meeting with Ateneo Resource Center for Local Governance (ARCLG) Director Eminel Jane M. Alvior, DPA.

DILG XI Team participated in the activity to showcase LGRRC knowledge products and market Region XI delicacies in advocating local economic enterprise, at LM Metro Hotel, Zamboanga City, from October 28 to 30, 2024.

On October 4, 2024, the Ateneo Resource Center for Local Governance (ARCLG) held a meeting with the Local Government Academy (LGA), led by Dr. Eminel Jane M. Alvior, along with UCEAC Chairperson Mr. Mark Paul O. Samante and LGA representatives: Ms. Sally S. Jumalon (LGTDD Chief), Ms. Henrielle Eloise S. Omolida (LGA Staff), Mr. Santiago Samson (LGA Staff), and Mr. John Noah P. Valencia (LGA Staff).

he Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), headed by Engr. Charito L. Cinco, together with the 12 on-the-job trainees (OJTs) from the University of Mindanao (UM), Jose Maria College (JMC) and University of Santo Tomas (UST), visited the Davao City Bypass Construction (2.3-kilometer mountain road tunnel) Project on August 7, 2024.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XI, through its Regional Information and Communications Technology Unit (RICTU), has been actively spearheading the implementation of the Local Government Unit Support System (LGUSS) across the region.
